Maya Azucena

Maya Azucena, award-winning recording artist, is known for making music that uplifts the soul. In 2015, she toured to Haiti, South Africa, India and Russia, as well as her U.S. shows. She's been featured in O Magazine, Washington Post, Billboard and countless other publications. Maya performs her soulful songs to promote empowerment, healing and social justice. Featured as a coach, mentoring a teenager on MTV's Made, she also garnered a Grammy Award -certificate for her collaboration with reggae superstar Stephen Marley. Maya has collaborated on stage and recordings with a multitude of world-renown artists. She's also been seen at TEDxWomen; One Billion Rising; Ban Ki Moon's No Woman No Child event at UN; Omega Institute's Women & Power conference, and as performer & faculty at Meggan Watterson's REVEAL retreat, at Kripalu. Maya is an executive board member for, an organization that supports families overcoming domestic violence. She's currently preparing her forthcoming album, "Unleash Me," which she describes as "a female Bruno Mars, if Bruno sang like Chaka."
