Build Your Itinerary
New to the Conference registration system this year are two applications that let you easily search, filter and choose from more than 100 workshops, plenaries, Super Sessions, exhibitors and more. Both applications, "Itinerary Builder" and "Session Locator" allow you to easily filter and search sessions by day, track, speaker name, session type, keyword and more.
Please choose from the list below for instructions and more information on building your itinerary, viewing the exhibit hall floor plan, using the Conference mobile application and reviewing all the sessions the 2012 National Conference on Volunteering and Service has to offer.
- I have already registered and now want to add sessions to my Conference schedule.
- I'm curious about what the Conference has to offer. I'd like to review sessions without going into the registration system.
- I would like more information on organizations and companies that are exhibiting at Conference.
- I'm interested in your mobile application for managing my schedule while at Conference.
How to Use Itinerary Builder
In order to access the Itinerary Builder application, please register for the Conference. You will need to enter your last name, email address and registration category to get started. Then complete all the required fields. You will be able to access the Itinerary Builder (IB) page before you make your registration payment.
Once in IB, you can search for sessions by using the filters on the left side of the screen. Filters include date, track, point of interest, intended audience and speaker.
A "quick view" of session information will populate based on the filters you apply. The quick view will show you the session ID number (SID), title, track, cost (if applicable), date, start time, end time, session type and speaker(s). From the quick view, you can click on a speaker's name to view their headshot and biography.
Click the "View Details" magnifying glass on a session to see the full description.
To add a session, click the green plus sign that says "Add Item." If there is a cost associated with that session, it will be applied to your final registration bill.
Note: IB will not let you book two sessions that overlap in time on the same day. A pop up window will appear and alert you that you have a scheduling conflict.
The sessions you add will appear in the box on the right side of the screen that says "My Selections."All of your selected sessions will show up on your confirmation page where you will be able to easily print a copy.
Please note that the Opening Session: Power of Social Movements To Drive Change (3112), the Education Plenary: Celebrating the Power of Service in Education (3117), sponsored by Target, and the Closing Session: How Citizen Service Strengthens Communities (3118) are all conveniently added to each attendee's itinerary automatically.
Already Registered?
For attendees who registered before the Itinerary Builder application launched, simply log back into your registration record using the email address and password you created when you initially registered. Once you've logged back in, click the "Build My Itinerary" button to get started. If you register for a session that has a cost, it will be applied to your final registration bill.
Session Locator
Session Locator is your online access to the complete schedule of events and list of exhibitors at the Conference. This easy-to-use tool permits you to identify sessions before building your itinerary through registration.
Within Session Locator, attendees can search by date, speaker, track, points of interest or audience. You must go through the registration process in order to register for workshop and other events.
It's also the exclusive site to view exhibit hall floor plans, exhibitors and more, and plan your route through the hall.
Go ahead, take a look and see all of the workshops and events the 2012 Conference has to offer!
