Media Registration & Accreditation

Thanks for your interest in covering the Conference on Volunteering and Service. We welcome qualified members of the media to attend our event – the world's largest service-related convening, bringing together more than 3,500 nonprofit, government, business and civic leaders to help shape the future of volunteerism. Proper credentials are required to obtain a media badge for access to all conference meetings and events.

Who can obtain a media badge?

Media badges will only be approved for working members of the press, including reporters, editors, producers, camera crews and photographers. Applicants for media registration must be employed/hired by a publication, station/network or program that is previously established, independent and updated regularly with original news.

Accepted credentials:

  • News outlet webpage or current publication masthead listing you as an editorial contributor;
  • Link to a recent article or story under your byline;
  • Verifiable letter of assignment from an editor/producer at a qualified publication, station or network;
  • Business card or current press ID from your media outlet reflecting your editorial role;
  • Blogs must reflect current and relevant news related to volunteering, service and social good.

We reserve the right to request additional verification. Social media sites, forums, personal blogs and user groups will not be accepted as media credentials. Media badges will not be granted to non-editorial media professionals.

How do I request a media badge?

If you meet the criteria outlined above, please email Amber Gowen with the following information: News organization and required credentials, first name, last name, address, country, phone number, email address, and dates that you plan to attend the conference. We will respond within three business days.

What benefits does a media badge provide?

Those with approved media badges will have access to all conference sessions, summits and special events.

What Others Are Saying

The emphasis on cross-sector collaboration was eye-opening, and everyone I met walked away with fresh perspectives and ideas. It broke down the silos of inward-facing sectors and showed us how much more powerful our work can be when we come together. An unbeatable experience!

The conference proved to be one of the most engaging and exciting professional gatherings of like-minded people I've ever attended. Although the topics, content, and presentations all appropriately centered around volunteering and service in some way, the sheer range of them was simply astounding.
