Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, this year's conference theme is a call to action for a new generation of civic leaders. Now is the time to seize the growing momentum for service and unleash the power of citizens to make a better world.

IMMERSION LEARNING AT THE 2008 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

To make the most of the first visit of the National Conference on Volunteering and Service to the historic Southeast, there is a new conference learning experience called “Immersion Learning Sessions.”  Many attendees will have the opportunity to get out into the local community, roll up their sleeves and “go deep” with local leaders and topic experts, while others, including Senior Corps project directors and sponsors, will immerse themselves in vital issues related to their programs.

Carter Center

All sessions will take place 2:15-5:00 pm Monday, June 2nd.
