Social Media for Social Good Preconference
This half-day workshop will cover basic and intermediate levels of social media topics including an introduction to core tools, evaluation, implementation and strategic application. With a mix of presentations, panels and small group workshops, participants will benefit from learning best practices, hearing from other organizations using these tools effectively, and have a chance to start building some plans of their own. The event is designed to compliment other social media sessions and topics being presented during the main Conference schedule, and provide an intensive learning opportunity.
Attendees of this event will walking away with the ability to:
- Understand how other organizations are using social media to recruit volunteers, engage with the community and meet their missions
- Learn how to evaluate and track social media success
- Understand the basic best practices and options for social media
Registration for Social Media for Social Good Preconference is now open and the session fee is $99.
If you are registering for the entire National Conference on Volunteering and Service, go to the Conference registration site and select the appropriate category (i.e., Points of Light Member, Nonmember, Volunteer, etc.). When you build your itinerary during the registration process, be sure to add the "Social Media for Social Good Preconference Session presented by NTEN" (SID 2881) to your schedule.
If you want to attend the Social Media for Social Good Preconference only, go to the Conference registration site and enter your last name and email address. Then select "Pre-Conference Only" from the drop down menu. Continue with registration. When you come to the Itinerary Builder page, be sure to add the "Social Media for Social Good Preconference Session presented by NTEN" (SID 2881) to your schedule. Then click "I am Done with My Sessions" and proceed to the payment page.
